When money is involved, security is everything.
Here's what this article covers.
Are online payments on Springly secure?
Yes, Springly's online payment service is fully secure.
All pages (login, payment details entry, etc.) are protected with an SSL certificate, which secures the connection between your device and the platform.
Additionally, all payments include 3D Secure protection.
What is 3D Secure?
3D Secure is a two-factor authentication system widely used in online payments that banks use to prevent online payment fraud. It verifies that the person entering the card details is the actual cardholder. In practice, this typically means your bank automatically sends you a code to complete the online payment.
I'm not receiving the 3D Secure code by text. Why?
This can happen. No need to worry — just contact your bank and check whether 3D Secure is enabled for your card. Ask them to activate it if it isn't.
Please note: it is not possible to disable this security feature on our payment platform.
What is PSD2?
To strengthen the security of online payments, the European Payment Services Directive (PSD2) introduced new requirements.
Your payment is secured through two-factor authentication, as defined by your bank. This may be a code sent by text, a password, or an approval prompt in your bank's app.
What's the purpose?
The goal is to confirm that any purchase made with your card was actually initiated by you, and to minimize the risk of fraud as much as possible.
If you run into any issues, try a different payment method or contact our support team.
