You've created a poll to gather feedback from your community and are now ready to share it with them.
Polls are only accessible to logged-in members (who have set up a login account). You cannot create a poll open to the general public. This ensures that no one can respond to your poll more than once.
This article explains how to:
Publish a poll on your website
Save the poll
The first step is to create your poll (as explained here), then set its status to Published before clicking Save.
Publish a poll
To publish a poll on your website, you need to:
- go to Website > Menus and pages;
- click the New page button;
- select Poll as the page type;
- once created, simply drag it into one of your site's menus to make it live.
All polls with a Published status will be displayed on this single page. You can only create one page of the Poll type. If this option doesn't appear in the selection list, it means a poll page already exists on your site (in a menu, draft, or trash).
Send a poll by email
Get the poll's access link (URL)
While there's no dedicated poll-sending feature, you can easily grab the access link and share it directly with your members.
To do this, click the Preview button that appears when you hover over the poll.
Once the preview is open, copy the URL displayed in your browser's address bar. It will look something like: "https://your-domain/surveys/poll-ID-poll-name".
Send the poll by email
Once you've copied the URL, simply paste it into an email to share the poll with your members.
For an email campaign, you can add a button linking to the poll and paste the poll's access link into it.
