You are configuring on your own the domain managed through the registrar GoDaddy.
This article covers the following topics:
If you run into issues, we can only configure the domain on your behalf if you purchase that option from within Springly. In the meantime, make sure you have completed the configuration in Springly, and contact GoDaddy support if the problem persists.
Add a CNAME record
- Log in to your GoDaddy account;
- Click the Manage DNS button next to the domain you want to configure;
- At the bottom of the DNS records list, click ADD and select CNAME from the dropdown;
- Fill in the fields below:
Note: you do not need to add a "." after ".net"; - Click Save.
The target domain must be "assoconnect-x-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.z01.azurefd.net" regardless of your domain name. For example, if your organization is named "My Nonprofit", the target will be "assoconnect-3-esdee4h2h5c6d9gj.z01.azurefd.net." — not "my-nonprofit.assoconnect.com". We update the target domain every 100 registered domains, so this article will be updated regularly. If you have already configured your domain name, no changes are needed on your end.
Add or update a TXT record
- Select the relevant domain to open the Domain Settings page;
- Select DNS to view your DNS records;
- Click the Edit icon next to the TXT record you want to update;
- Update the following fields:
- Name: enter
@to target the root domain, or a prefix depending on the service (e.g._dmarc,mail, etc.); - Value: paste the text string provided by Springly or the third-party service (domain verification, SSL certificate, etc.);
- TTL: leave the default value (1 hour).
- Name: enter
- Click Save to confirm your changes.
Confirm your configuration in Springly (required)
Even if you configure your domain name yourself, you still need to complete the setup in Springly. This triggers a request to our team, who will handle the final steps — including SSL certificate installation.
Go to Website > Settings & Theme > Domain Name. Select the options I already own a domain name and I'm configuring my domain name myself.
Then simply complete the 3 steps shown:
