The Event module supports fairly complex pricing structures. In addition to standard rates, you can set up sub-rates β optional add-on rates linked to a primary rate.
This article walks you through how to set them up.
Adding sub-rates
Once you've added a primary rate in the ticketing Rates section, you can attach sub-rates to each one.
To do this, go to the ticketing edit page. Navigate to Events, click on manage offer for the target offer, and open the Rates section of the form.
Click Sub-rate next to the rate you want to add a sub-rate to.
You can then choose between two types of sub-rate:
- Optional service β lets you specify a price and a label.
- Free-text response β a text field to collect information specific to a rate.
Once done, confirm the rate and save the ticketing setup to apply your changes.
End-user view
Once configured, users will be able to select a rate and choose from the available sub-rates.
