What information do I need to provide?
Verification is a straightforward process โ it's simply about confirming that the funds collected through your e-wallet are going to your nonprofit.
You'll need to prove your nonprofit exists by submitting three documents:
- Government-issued photo ID of the legal representative, in color (national ID card, passport, or driver's license)
- Your nonprofit's SIRET number (preferred) or RNA number
- Bank account details (RIB) in the nonprofit's name
Please note: you can start collecting funds as soon as your e-wallet is created. You then have four weeks to complete the verification before your account is frozen.
You can set up your e-wallet during the free trial โ so you can test online payments and start collecting funds right from day one on Springly!
Completing your verification
Go to Payments > E-wallet. Click Verify my account (at the top of the page).
To start verifying your organization, your legal representative, and your bank account, click the corresponding Verify button for each:
Verifying your organization
When you click Verify your organization, you'll be prompted to enter your SIRET number (recommended) or RNA number:
If you don't know your SIRET or RNA number, you can look it up on the following official websites: the official French government website and Societe.com.
You can also attach your nonprofit's bylaws. This is optional, but it can strengthen your verification request. Make sure the document meets all the required criteria.
Verifying the legal representative's information
The legal representative's information is automatically pulled from their profile once the e-wallet is created. You can complete or update it as needed.
Then add their government-issued photo ID by selecting the document type: national ID card or passport.
Be sure to strictly follow the required criteria: the ID must be valid, legible, and in color. For a national ID card, please provide both front and back.
Verifying a bank account
Add the bank account details (RIB) for the account where you plan to transfer your funds. Make sure you link the correct account number. Important: the RIB must display your nonprofit's official name, exactly as entered during the organization verification step.
Please note: Some online or virtual bank accounts will not be accepted and will be automatically rejected by our system for security reasons.
If the bank account details don't appear, click add a bank account. Alternatively, you can add it from the Accounting > Settings > Banks / Petty cash page.
You can also edit the bank account information by clicking Edit (pencil icon).
Once the account has been added, click Back in the top left of the screen.
Please note: if you verified your bank account first, it will automatically revert to "Verification in progress" status when you submit your organization for verification. This is because our payment provider checks that your organization name matches the name on your bank account details. This re-validation takes up to 24 hours. If it takes longer, please contact us.
Tracking your verification request
Documents are reviewed within a few business days, depending on request volume. Once submitted, you can track the status on your e-wallet page.
While your verification is being processed, you can launch your online form and keep collecting funds. You'll be notified by email once verification is approved.
If a document is rejected, you'll receive an explanation by email. Our team will reach out to help. You can also contact us from this page.
In some cases, we apply an enhanced verification process and may request additional information. See article E-wallet and security
