General Assemblies (GAs) are a key moment in any nonprofit's life β they formalize the major structural decisions your organization makes. You need to produce minutes for every GA to keep a written record of what was discussed and decided. It's often a tedious job, but here's the good news: Springly lets you generate that document automatically using artificial intelligence (AI)!

Generate your GA minutes using artificial intelligence
AI is well known for its ability to rephrase and reframe content.
The idea is simple: you provide the key details of your GA β resolutions, discussions, votes β and we automatically generate your minutes.
You can always edit it afterward if needed, but 95% of the work is already done! That means hours saved β hours you can put toward the work that actually matters for your nonprofit.
In practice, it takes just 5 steps:
- Confirm your nonprofit's details: name, address, etc.;
- Enter your General Assembly information: date, quorum, roles;
- Add the resolutions on the agenda and fill in the details;
- Your minutes are generated automatically;
- Edit if needed, then download!
Where to generate GA minutes
- Go to the Home page of your platform;
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the General Assembly Minutes tile;
- The steps for generating your minutes will be displayed. Click Next to get started.
How to generate GA minutes
Step 1 - Your nonprofit
The information shown at this step is pulled from Settings > Your nonprofit. Check that everything is still accurate, make any updates needed, then click Next.
Step 2 - The General Assembly
Enter the date and the attendees of the General Assembly.
You must designate a President and a Secretary.
Both individuals must already be recorded in your Community. If they aren't, create their profile under Community > Contacts. For more details, see our dedicated article: Adding a person to your Community.
Step 3 - Resolutions
Most General Assemblies include standard resolutions, such as approving the budget. We've pre-loaded the most common ones for you β simply check the ones that apply to your agenda.
You can add resolutions specific to your meeting by clicking the Add a resolution button below the existing list.
For each resolution, enter the key points from the presentation of the topic, along with any discussion that followed. Then record the outcome of the vote.
You can enter this information as bullet points β our tool takes it from there!
Once you've filled in all the resolutions, click Generate minutes at the bottom of the page. Your minutes will be drafted automatically β it typically takes less than a minute.
A new page opens with the automatically generated document based on your input. You can edit it directly to make any adjustments, and when you're ready, download it using the Download minutes button at the bottom of the page.
This feature is brand new and we're actively working to make it even better. You can share your feedback on the last page β we'd love to hear from you!
Here's to great General Assemblies!
