Your administrator rights on the platform have been changed, or you no longer have the credentials for the administrator account. As a result, you can no longer access your admin space.
Springly can help, but only under very specific conditions — which we'll walk you through in this article.
- Use cases
- Recovering your administrator rights
- Regaining access to the email address listed as the main administrator
- Disputes and reinstatement of rights
- Things to keep in mind
Use cases
You're in one of the following situations:
- You had an administrator account (either main or limited to one or more modules) and your rights were changed or revoked — your administrator account is now locked;
- You have never had administrator rights on the platform (for example, following a change in your nonprofit's leadership);
- You or your nonprofit have an administrator account, but under a different email address, and you can't find the credentials to manage the platform.
In all cases, please note that Springly cannot grant someone administrator access on request alone. Your platform may contain sensitive data, so for security and data protection reasons, we'll need supporting documentation before we can fulfill your request.
Recovering your administrator rights
If you need to recover your rights, you have a few options.
Request access from an administrator
The easiest place to start: a main administrator on the platform can add you and grant you access rights. For more details, check out our article: Adding an administrator
Provide legal proof to Springly
By default, only the President can act as the legal representative of the nonprofit.
We can appoint a new main administrator:
- If the current President has been removed and a new one has been appointed;
- By court order.
In the meantime, if you need administrator rights but are not the President of the nonprofit, we recommend reaching out to a main administrator directly.
If you are the President, we can add you as the legal representative — provided you supply the required supporting documents.
Here are the main documents required (at a minimum):
-
CERFA form n°13971 "Declaration of the list of persons responsible for the administration of a nonprofit";
-
The dated and signed acknowledgment of receipt from the Prefecture confirming submission of the above form (typically issued within 5 business days by the Prefecture);
-
The most recent signed bylaws of the nonprofit.
-
The Official Gazette publication (nonprofit creation, or amendment if published in the Journal Officiel);
-
The signed minutes of the general meeting appointing the board;
-
A government-issued ID of the legal representative (as named in the bylaws).
As part of our anti-fraud procedures, we reserve the right to request additional documentation.
Warning: submitting falsified documents may result in criminal prosecution.
Please note: nonprofits are required to report any changes in leadership to the Prefecture.
Regaining access to the email address listed as the main administrator
An email address was used to set up the main administrator account. For example, you may have used a shared organizational email address, but no longer have the credentials for that email — or for your account on the platform. No one can add you as an administrator, and accessing your platform seems impossible. Don't panic!
In this case:
- If you've forgotten your password to access your Springly account, you can reset it easily. See our dedicated article: Forgot your password;
- If you no longer have access to the email address itself, use the account recovery options provided by your email provider. You can find the process for Gmail here, and for Microsoft 365 / Outlook here.
