As the primary Administrator of your nonprofit, you can check your e-wallet balance and transfer it to your bank account whenever you like.
This article explains how to find information about your e-wallet, including:
- How the e-wallet works
- Checking your available e-wallet balance
- Viewing transaction details
- Viewing upcoming transactions
- Exporting all e-wallet transactions
How the e-wallet works
As a reminder, the e-wallet works like a digital wallet. It lets you collect credit card payments for memberships, donations, events, and your online shop (Product Sales).
In simple terms, when a member pays their membership by credit card, the funds move from their bank account to your nonprofit's e-wallet, and then from the e-wallet to your nonprofit's bank account.
Checking your available e-wallet balance
To check your e-wallet balance in real time, go to Payments > E-wallet.
The balance shown reflects funds you have collected that have not yet been transferred to your bank account.
If the platform shows a zero balance, it means you haven't received any funds in your e-wallet yet, or you've just made a payout to your bank account.
From this page, you can:
- View your end-of-last-month balance;
- See your incoming (collections) and outgoing (disbursements, payouts) transactions;
- View transaction details;
- Export all e-wallet transactions;
- View upcoming transactions: payments that will appear in your e-wallet soon, as they are still pending validation by the payment provider.
Incoming transactions represent payments that have been authorized but not yet credited to the e-wallet by the bank.
Viewing transaction details
You can also review your transaction details directly, without going into the accounting section.
To view details for your online transactions, click My Wallet Statement > View.
You'll land on the "My Transactions" tab, where you'll find details on your online payments, including:
- Transaction amount;
- Payment date;
- Payer name;
- Transaction type.
Click "+ Filters" to narrow your search using options such as date, amount, contact, or transaction type (payment fees, refund, payment, payout, adjustment, or bounce).
So when members ask whether their payment went through, this is the place to check. The filters make it easy to find exactly what you're looking for.
Viewing upcoming transactions
From the Online Payment menu, you can view your incoming ("My Collections") and outgoing ("My Disbursements" and "My Payouts") e-wallet transactions:
- My Collections: Payments you will receive from your members;
- My Disbursements: Outgoing amounts already committed, such as refunds;
- My Payouts: Amounts you are transferring from your e-wallet to your bank account.
Click "My Upcoming Transactions $X.XX" for more details on these operations. You can filter them by date, amount, type (Payment, Refund, etc.), and associated contact — just like in the My Transactions tab.
Exporting all e-wallet transactions
You can export your wallet statement as an Excel file by clicking "Export results".
The wallet statement includes every transaction recorded in your e-wallet.
For example, if you're unsure whether the total fees are correct, export your wallet statement and compare the amounts. It's quick and straightforward.
