In the Accounting module, you can view all book entries associated with a specific account. This article explains how.
Search from the Journal
You can view all the entries you've recorded in your Journal โ or filter by a specific account, such as a Petty cash account or a Bank account.
- Go to your Journal: Accounting > Documents > Journal;
- Select the Journal type. You can choose from several journals: petty cash journal, bank account journal, e-wallet journal, sales journal, etc.;
- All entries linked to that account will appear in the journal.
Search from the General Ledger
You can do the same from the General Ledger, across all your accounting accounts.
- Go to your General Ledger: Accounting > Documents > General Ledger;
- Select the General Ledger type (general, account receivable, or account payable if you use subsidiary accounting, or contact);
- If you selected the general ledger, then select the account of your choice, or select All accounts;
- If you selected another ledger type, search by third party or contact name (or leave blank to display all entries).
- Click Search: all entries linked to that account or contact will appear.
Search from the Search tab
You can also search for a specific account โ or combine multiple criteria โ directly from the Search tab.
- Go to the Search tool: Accounting > Search.
- Use the search options that fit your needs. You can filter by multiple parameters:
- Entry type: Payment, Expenditure, Revenue, etc.;
- The assigned accounting account;
- Dates;
- Amount;
- The person linked to the entries* (e.g., find all book entries associated with Member X);
- Fund*;
- Custom number* โ requires enabling this option beforehand.
*Available via advanced search.
Click Search: the results will display all entries matching the criteria you've set.
