You manually added one or more participants to your registrant list on your Membership Campaign, but entered the wrong transaction date. Rather than deleting the transaction, you want to update the date. This article explains how to do it and what the impacts are.
Edit a transaction date
- Go to Forms > Memberships or Event;
- On the desired campaign, click Manage Members;
- From the registrant list, click on the participant(s) in question using the Detail icon (eye).

This opens the transaction page. Click the Edit button next to Date.
You can then update the transaction date.
Once the transaction date is updated, this change has several impacts, which are described below:
Impact of changing a transaction date
By making this change, you are indicating that the transaction (sign-up or membership date) did not occur on date X, but on date Y.
This will have several impacts, depending on which modules you have enabled:
- On invoices and other payment receipts, the transaction date will be updated.

In accounting: the sale date will be updated.
Note: If there is a single payment linked to this sale and the payment date matched the sale date, the payment date will also be updated to the new date (date Y).
