Where to configure your login/sign-up page
Manage this page by going to Website > Settings and Theme, then clicking the "Sign-up Page & Profile" button at the bottom of the page.
Account creation options
You can set a rule for account creation. To do so:
- Click the "Sign-up Page & Profile" button;
- Under the "Sign-up Form" section, you'll have 3 options to choose from.
No
On the login page, people will not be able to create an account. The button will not be available.
However, people can still sign up through forms that are "open to everyone" by filling in the sign-up fields or clicking the "Continue without an account" button.
If the form is a Membership Campaign or Donation Campaign, an account is automatically created in your database after sign-up.
Yes, with open sign-up
End-users will be free to create an account using the "Create an account" button.
No approval process will apply, so anyone who creates an account is added directly to your contact database.
Make sure to configure the unique identifier correctly to avoid duplicates. This article explains how it works.
This option is selected by default when your website is active.
Yes, with approval-required sign-up
People who want to create an account won't have immediate access to it or to any private content on your site. You'll need to approve each sign-up first.
Pending sign-up requests will appear under Community > Contacts. From there, you can approve, decline/archive, or contact each person.
This option is handy when you're actively recruiting volunteers and want to meet people before granting them account access.
