The website editor lets you customize your page header and footer.
The header contains fixed content that appears at the top of every page, while the footer contains fixed content that appears at the bottom of every page.
This article covers the following topics:
Setting up the header
Where do I edit the header?
To update the content, photos, and design in your header, go to Website > Settings & Theme and click on Header.
Selecting the area to edit
This page shows a preview of your header. Click Click here to show/hide editable elements to select the element you want to modify.
Select the element you want to edit (Menu, Home image, or Information block on image) and click Click to edit.
You can then make your changes using the section that appears below the menu:
Adding a logo to the menu
Click on the menu area β a panel will appear letting you configure that section.
Click Edit organization logo to choose whether to display it and, if so, where to position it.
Note: If you've already uploaded your logo from the admin area under Settings > My Organization, it will appear here. You can also update it from this screen.
Adding a clickable button to the menu
Depending on your chosen theme, you can add a clickable button to your menu. This button will appear on all your pages. Here's an example:
Select the Menu element on the header configuration page. Check the Button box β a panel will appear. Give your button a name and set the destination page.
You can add a second button by clicking Add a second button.
Changing the header image(s)
Select the Home image element and scroll down to the bottom of the page to edit that area.
Choose an image to upload in the designated area.
Use a large enough image to avoid a blurry result. For full-width display, your image should be at least 1920px wide.
You can upload multiple images if you want a slideshow of photos to cycle through at the top of your home page.
Once uploaded, your photo will appear in the preview. Use the ZOOM + and ZOOM - buttons in the top-left corner of the header preview area to adjust the zoom level.
Setting up the footer
To edit the content and blocks in your footer, go to Website > Settings & Theme β Footer.
This page shows a preview of your footer. Three customization options are available: Social Networks, Link Blocks, and Other.
Displaying Social Networks
Select the social networks you want to display in the footer. To set the URL for each social network, see this Help Center article.
The corresponding social network icon will appear on the right side of the footer. It will be clickable and link to the URL you specified.
Adding a footer menu
Use the Link blocks option to set up your footer menu. This menu can point to external links or provide quick access to pages within your site.
To manage this menu, click the "New block" button. A dialog box will open where you can enter a title for the block.
Then click the "New button" button to add and edit a link.
Choose the link label and where it should point to (an external site or a page within your own site):
Click "Save" β your block is ready!
Repeat steps 3 through 5 as many times as needed.
Here's what a block with two links will look like in your footer:
You can reorder your blocks in the footer using the arrow icons. Use the gear icon to rename a block, and the red X to delete it.
Other options
The Other section lets you add a Newsletter block where visitors can sign up for your newsletter by entering their email address. Check the box to enable it β the block will look like this:
You can also choose to add text at the top of your footer. Type your text in the designated field and it will appear like this:
