π Summary
The Online Payment and Business Account features are not available to political parties.
A few important distinctions
Political parties occupy a unique position in the nonprofit landscape and are subject to strict legal requirements, particularly around fundraising and financing.
Springly can be used by these types of organizations, but with significant limitations you need to be aware of before creating an account.
Features generally available
The following features can generally be used:
β’ Community (CRM: members, supporters) ;
β’ Forms (memberships, events), excluding online payment ;
β’ Communication (email, website).
These uses do not involve financial transactions and therefore do not raise technical or regulatory concerns in most cases.
Online Payment and Business Account: not available to political parties
For regulatory reasons and in accordance with Springly's risk management policies β as well as those of its technical and financial partners β political parties are not accepted.
Registered political parties
An organization is immediately considered a political party if it appears on the list of political parties registered with the Commission nationale des comptes de campagne et des financements politiques (CNCCFP).
Organizations treated as political parties
Beyond parties registered with the CNCCFP, organizations that operate similarly to political parties or whose purpose could be deemed sensitive may also be subject to restrictions.
Certain types of organizations are subject to specific funding rules that differ from standard nonprofit regulations.
Financial institutions classify certain organizations or causes as high risk under anti-money laundering and illegal financing compliance obligations.
Springly cannot guarantee that online payment features or the Business Account will be available or remain active over time.
